NDIS Module 1.

Understanding the NDIS
This module provides you an introduction to the NDIS, when a person with a mental illness may be eligible and the key role that you as a clinician play in supporting consumers across the NDIS participant pathway.

NDIS Module 2.

Access Requests
This module will provide you with information on the role of clinicians in supporting consumers to access the NDIS. By the end of this module, you will be able to explain the NDIS access process, eligibility criteria and evidence requirements for consumers with a severe mental illness and associated psychosocial disability.

NDIS Module 3.

Preparing for NDIS First Plan Discussions
This module will provide you with information on the role of clinicians in supporting participants to prepare for their NDIS plan discussion. By the end of this module, you will have an understanding of the key things participants need to be prepared to discuss at their planning meeting and the types of supports the NDIS may fund.

NDIS Module 4.

Supporting Plan Discussions
This module will provide you with information on the role of clinicians in supporting participants with their plan discussion. By the end of this module, you will have an understanding of how plan discussions take place, who can attend and the critical role that clinicians play in ensuring participants get an NDIS plan which adequately meets their psychosocial support needs.

NDIS Module 5.

NDIS Plan Implementation
This module will provide you with information on the role of clinicians in supporting participants during plan implementation. By the end of this module, you will have an under sting of how NDIS plans are implemented, how clinicians can work with Support Coordinators and Local Area Coordinators to achieve optimum outcomes for participants and how plans can be used flexibly to respond to changing needs.

NDIS Module 6.

NDIS Review Processes
This module will provide you with information on the various types of NDIS plan reviews and under what circumstances they’re undertaken. By the end of this module, you will have an understanding of the role of clinicians in supporting the scheduled plan review process and how to support participants to request an internal review where their initial plan is inadequate or an unscheduled plan review due to a change of circumstances.
